The Kinect Solar Start Small Scholarship is available to all U.S.-based undergraduate students in any field of study who are currently enrolled in an accredited 2- or 4-year institution. Students who wish to apply must contact their registrar to obtain enrollment verification and answer the following question in a 500-word essay or three-minute video: "If you could share just one simple idea with your friends, family, and others around you that would help in living more sustainably and more in harmony with the planet if applied consistently, what would that be?" All submissions must be emailed to scholarship@kinectsolar.com and include the student's full name, phone number, and educational institution.
For the fall 2022 scholarship award, applications must be submitted by Friday, July 1, 2022, at 11:59 PM. The deadline for the spring 2023 scholarship award is Dec. 1, 2022, at 11:59 PM. One winner will be chosen each semester to receive $2,500. Funds are to be used for educational expenses, including tuition, housing, and textbooks.
