Kim Shreckengost Appointed Chief Operating Officer of the John Maxwell Company

​​The John Maxwell Company today announced the appointment of Kim Shreckengost to the newly-created position of chief operating officer, effective December 1, 2016.

In this role, Shreckengost will lead the day-to-day operations – including process, accountability, synergy and execution – across John C. Maxwell’s enterprise, which includes The John Maxwell Company, The John Maxwell Team, EQUIP Leadership and the soon-to-be-formed The John Maxwell Leadership Foundation.  Each business focuses on specific programs, events and audiences to reach, develop and improve the skills and lives of millions of people around the world.

Prior to joining The John Maxwell Company, Shreckengost was executive vice president – chief administrative officer of AMB Group, LLC, the parent company of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United FC, PGA TOUR Superstore and Mountain Sky Guest Ranch.  She led public relations and human resources across the businesses, and had overall management oversight responsibility for Mountain Sky Guest Ranch.  Shreckengost was a member of the senior executive team leading the development and construction of Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, the start-up of Atlanta United FC, and other strategic initiatives.  During her 15-year tenure with AMB Group, she also served in a number of other capacities, including chief of staff and managing information technology, facilities and operations.

Shreckengost served five years at Home Depot, first as vice president – investor relations and later as vice president – corporate affairs & executive to the CEO before joining AMB Group in 2001.  Prior to her time at Home Depot, she spent 15 years with Delta Airlines in areas of increasing responsibility.  During her last eight years at Delta, she led the company’s investor relations department.  During that time, Delta received four awards for excellence in corporate reporting and investor relations from the Association of Investment Management and Research.  Shreckengost was also cited by Institutional Investor Magazine as one of the top investor relations officers in the country.

Shreckengost graduated with distinction from Wayne State University in Detroit, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.
