Kaboom Radio News Confirms Bruno Mars Arressted For Drug Possession in Las Vegas
Online, September 22, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Kaboom Radio News has confirmed that Bruno Mars has been arrested for drug possession in Las Vegas. The songwriter/musician has been in the headlines recently for his collaborations with Travie McCoy and B.o.B.
According to MTV, Bruno Mars, 23, was arrested for suspicion of possession of narcotics after security at the Hard Rock hotel and casino in Las Vegas confronted him in a bathroom early Sunday morning.
Bruno Mars was last seen at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, where he took the stage with B.o.B. and Hayley Williams of Paramore to perform. Mars was reportedly in Vegas on Sunday for a show.
Bruno Mars, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, was born and raised in Hawaii with his parents and five siblings. He is set to drop his own solo album on October 5, 2010. The lead single on the album, titled "Just The Way You Are," was released in July and peaked at number three on the Billboard hot 100.
Bruno Mars arrest comes after a month of shocking celebrity drug related news. Paris Hilton, who was also busted in Las Vegas, plans to plead guilty to cocaine possession, copping a plea deal.
Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan, who was recently released from jail and rehab failed her first court order drug test, also testing positive for cocaine. Rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka "Tiny Cottle were also recently arrested after being found in possession of drugs during a traffic stop.
Bruno Mars has not made any official statements on his reported narcotics arrest in Las Vegas.
