Kährs, a Major Presence at DOMOTEX 2016

Dubai, February 5, 2016 (Newswire.com) - ​Kährs Group, the leading wooden flooring company in Sweden, marked its successful participation at the DOMOTEX 2016 exhibition held in Hannover, Germany recently.

A cross-section of products representing different varieties and different shades of wood as well as accessories marketed by Kährs was displayed at the company’s stall which was located in Hall 9, Stand A38 at the leading exhibition and trade fair for floor coverings, which was held from  January 16-19, 2016. Kährs was among the over 1,440 exhibitors representing 59 countries from all corners of the globe who displayed their vast array of products and services from 12 exhibition halls at the Hannover Exhibition Centre (Deutsche Messe AG).

The Kährs stall attracted a large number of people who said they were inspired by the many themes presented at the stall and that it was a unique experience to enjoy the natural beauty represented by one of the oldest wood flooring manufacturers in the world. Kährs was established in the Swedish village of Nybro in 1857 and has been gaining ground as one of the top wood flooring companies in Europe since then. Its unique mixture of tradition with the latest cutting-edge technologies to give the best and latest products is what has endeared the company to its large customer base.

DOMOTEX is the leading exhibition and trade fair for the industry and was held for the third time this year. Among the products and services on display at the event were carpets and rugs (hand-made and machine-made) - knotted, woven and tufted; fibre, yarn and textiles; wood and parquet flooring; natural stone and ceramic tiles; laminated coverings; design techniques; flooring laying skills; cleaning and application technologies; presentation of goods; specialist publishing and other associations and services; and contract businesses.  

This year’s event attracted over 45,000 trade visitors from over 100 countries. Sixty one per cent of the visitors were from other countries while 72 per cent represented the top management of companies. The event introduces many novelties to the world and this year was no exception: 84 selected innovations and the Wood Flooring Summit which was targeted at the international parquet and laminate flooring sector (with over 200 exhibitors) were the highlights of 2016. The event provided an ideal opportunity for people in the industry to display and view the latest trends and innovations, meet fellow industrialists and share views and ideas which would contribute to the overall development of the industry.

DOMOTEX 2017 is scheduled to take place from January 14 - 17, 2017 in Hannover.
