Jubilant Easter Egg Hunts Coachman Park for 24 Years
Clearwater Scientology volunteers host 24th Annual Easter Egg Hunt with thousands of children converging on Coachman Park for an energetic day.
Clearwater, FL, March 31, 2016 (Newswire.com) - In a matter of minutes, thousands of children found and took possession of every one of more than 30,000 candy-filled Easter eggs and an additional 50,000 pieces of candy March 27 at the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Coachman Park, organized by the Clearwater Community Volunteers, the City of Clearwater and the Church of Scientology.
The little ones had a fenced-in area of their own where they could search for eggs, safe from the rush of enthusiastic older kids.
The fun continued with pony rides, face painting a giant slide and posing for pictures with the Easter bunny. And 250 youngsters took home stuffed bunnies, their prize for finding golden Easter eggs in the hunt.
The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) is a non-profit, charitable organization established in 1994 by parishioners of the Church of Scientology. CCV produces the huge Easter Egg Hunt in Coachman Park in Clearwater every Spring and "Winter Wonderland" -- an annual holiday charity drive in downtown Clearwater featuring 5 village buildings, 100 live pine trees, a fully functioning stage with entertainment, tens of thousands of tiny white lights, pony & train rides, a playground, a giant slide and bouncy house, and Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Clearwater Community Volunteers gets their inspiration from the words of humanitarian L Ron Hubbard who said: "Love and Help Children." For this purpose they have raised funds for charities such as Nourish to Flourish, Shriners Hospitals for Children Tampa, Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and The Children's Home, Inc., the oldest orphanage in Tampa.
