John P. Wilkirson Joins EnVen Energy Corporation as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President
Houston, Texas, March 23, 2016 (Newswire.com) - EnVen Energy Corporation (“EnVen”) announced today that John P. Wilkirson has joined EnVen as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President.

Mr. Wilkirson has over 35 years of experience in the energy industry. He was most recently Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Cobalt International Energy, Inc where his accomplishments included raising over $7 billion in public equity and equity-linked financings, establishing the industry’s first broadly syndicated reserve-based loan for financing a Gulf of Mexico field development, and being a core member of the executive team that completed the then largest IPO by a US E&P company. Prior to Cobalt, he was Vice President, Strategic Planning and Economics of Unocal Corporation with responsibilities that included managing the global asset and investment portfolio, and transacting and integrating Unocal with Chevron. He was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company serving energy clients on strategy and performance improvement engagements. Additional industry experience included positions at Exxon Company USA and BP / Sohio Petroleum Company in petroleum engineering and commercial assignments. Mr. Wilkirson has a Bachelor of Science with Highest Honors in Petroleum Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
