John Burr's students benefit from his 30+ years in directing, producing and training. His voiceover training offers in-depth expertise on all aspects of the voiceover industry.
How it works
John Burr Voice Dynamics starts you off with an in-depth evaluation session that lasts approximately two hours and assesses your basic abilities. We'll look at your cold reading ability, interpretive instincts, diction and many technical parameters. A written evaluation will be given to you and will be explained during the last half hour of your session. From this evaluation session, we will determine if you have the basic skills necessary to move on to private instruction.
Classes and coaching
John Burr Voice Dynamics offers both public classes and private coaching. Our voiceover training classes are limited to an average of 8 students and cover readings and interpretations of a wide variety of scripts, while providing a generous amount of time to focus on each student's needs. Our private coaching sessions are limited and by evaluation only. Private sessions typically run a minimum of 10 weeks, usually scheduled bi-weekly, in 1 hour sessions.
