Joel Geleynse Releases New Single
Online, October 15, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Canadian recording artist and ex-professional ice skater, Joel Geleynse, releases a new single "Oceanview" available on iTunes October 14 2011 (www.itunes.apple.com/ca/album/oceanview-single/id451504736)
Geleynse, whose last single "Love You More" became a top 20 hit in the Netherlands and a top ten EMI/Virgin label finalist, is bridging the oceanic divide between Netherlands and his native Canada, hoping the Canucks will recognize the talent Europe already has.
Teaming up with Justin Koop (whose production credits include Finger Eleven, Billy Talent, and Silverstein), Geleynse and Koop struck a nice chemistry on Oceanview - the first release of the producer/artist pairing.

His "Adelesque" emotive lyrical music has resonated with his existing international fan base sounding like a fusion of One Republic, Savage Garden, Maroon 5 and Dashboard Confessional.
His artful and honest songwriting has landed his music as the theme for the Food Network "Chef School", numerous national award noms, and his song in both the "Stars On Ice" tour and upcoming "Winter Dreams On Ice 2011".
In a career not yet spanning a decade, Joel has debuted a full length studio album in 2004, selling 4000 copies, released a pop EP in 2009, and most recently two singles that have been getting heavy radio play in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Joel has released three professional music videos to date of his original material, the most recent of which has been getting heavy rotation on Dutch music video channels.
Joel Geleynse is also well known for his previous career as a pro ice skater. Geleynse was a National Team Member and third place titleholder in men's figure skating at Canadian Nationals, which launched his TV career on shows like "Skating With the Stars" in Turkey and the Netherlands.
