Now based in Florida, Jillian Stewart has pledged her support to a number of these organizations, generously donating to the likes of MADD, Safe Harbor, and Sanford Health Foundation's Children's Miracle Network in recent months and years.

Children's Miracle Network at Sanford Children's Hospitals, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Fargo, North Dakota, provides hope and healing to unwell kids and their families.

"100 percent of funds stay local, and 100 percent of funds benefit children by providing for specialized equipment, programs and direct child and family assistance," says the organization of its work. "No child will ever be turned away regardless of his or her family's ability to pay."

Stewart first encountered the Children's Miracle Network while working at South Dakota's Sanford Aberdeen Health.

Meanwhile, Safe Harbor's mission is to provide a continuum of services for victims of domestic violence and their children.

Their primary aim is to completely eliminate any form of acceptance towards domestic violence via a coordinated community response, and through better education surrounding the issue.

"We are here, 24/7, to help victims with counseling, legal support, and safe shelter," says the South Carolina-based charity of its work. "Every donation makes a difference to our mission."

Another of Jillian Stewart's charities, MADD, or Mothers Against Drunk Driving, based in Texas, is a nonprofit organization operating in the U.S. and Canada, and which seeks to put an end to drunk driving.

MADD is campaigning for stricter impaired driving laws and also supports those affected by the results of drunk driving.

Founded in 1980, the organization has witnessed a 50 percent reduction in deaths due to drunk driving during this time. Mothers Against Drunk Driving estimates that this is equivalent to some 370,000 lives saved.

"The statistics are still horrifying," says MADD of the numbers. "Everyone has a responsibility to help eliminate drunk driving."

Of her work and philanthropic efforts, Stewart explains, "As a medical practitioner and expert in my field, I strive to provide quality patient care through comprehensive evaluation and treatment services."

She continues, "Through donating to charities such as Safe Harbor, the Sanford Health Foundation, and MADD, I know that I'm supporting equally committed individuals in helping those who rely on them."

Another cause supported by Jillian Stewart is the Aberdeen Catholic Foundation, based in South Dakota alongside the Children's Miracle Network.

The nonprofit foundation provides support to the Aberdeen Catholic School System, Sacred Heart Parish, and St. Mary's Parish. It also offers additional support to other charitable organizations in the Aberdeen area and is a cause close to Stewart's heart.
