Jenan Swimming Gala 2010

The Jenan Swimming Gala aims to unite families under one roof and encourage the spirit of outdoor fun filled activities in order to lead a healthier lifestyle.

More than 250 swimming enthusiasts - children & adults came together to compete in the Jenan Swimming Gala held at the Al Naadi Sports Centre in Dubai.
Paul Hage, Oh Jun Kweon and Chinami Kadoi top finishers at the Marathon bagged individual championship awards and were gifted i-Pads, i-Pods & i-Phones. Trophies and awards were also presented for the best swim in the male and female category respectively. Gift vouchers were awarded to all participants.
The Jenan Swimming Gala aims to unite families under one roof and encourage the spirit of outdoor fun filled activities in order to lead a healthier lifestyle. With a marathon of one kilometer as the main event, 42 other races were lined up for the day for children from the age group of 5 and above.
Commented Mohammed Essa Al Ghurair, "It was simply spectacular to see UAE's multi-cultural community join together to actively compete in the swimming competitions together with their family and friends".
He further added, "This is the time to swim, enjoy the wonderful sunshine and be active and what better way to do it than through a fun filled activity. We want to encourage families to go out with their children and seek an active and healthy lifestyle. Events like this help demonstrate that we have a responsibility towards the wellbeing of our community".
There was entertainment for all. While DJ David Delgado immersed the crowd in the music, children enjoyed the amazing selection of ice-cream provided by More cafe, and the wide variety Juices & water from Masafi .
The Jenan Swimming Gala has been organized for the past three years with an aim to promote a healthy lifestyle for the whole family. Since its inception more than 500 people gather at this much awaited family outdoor event.
