J. Grace Warren's New Book, "Footprints on My Mirror" is a Chilling Story of a Mother Whose Baby Has Died—only to Find Tiny Footprints That Tell Her a Different Story.

"Footprints on My Mirror" from author J. Grace Warren is a captivating but disturbing story that puts paranormal superstitions to the test when Jolene, mother of a deceased baby girl, Marisa and her living son, Marlon, witness frightening phenomena occurring in their home years after the burial of the dead infant whose body was never truly accounted for after being pronounced dead on arrival.

J. Grace Warren, a naturalized US citizen and retired word processor operator making her home in California, has completed her new book, “Footprints on My Mirror”:  a hair-raising story of a mother haunted by the unknown end of her years-dead baby.

Warren shares, “That Friday morning, as she stepped out of the shower, she was not only face to face with herself, but on the steamed mirror were what looked like a two- or three-month-old baby’s footprints almost from the top to the bottom. She was intrigued and curious, which later turned into concern. Her mind went wild trying to figure out how they got there.

Suddenly dreaming about Marisa, baby footprints appearing on the mirror, there had to be a meaning of some sort. She thought maybe somebody’s baby was sick, or had died, so she called everybody she knew that had a baby; they were all doing well.

She invited the neighbors in the adjoining apartment to show them the strange prints on her mirror. She also invited a few family members to witness the unusual prints and a friend whom she believed could interpret aberrations.

Coming up empty, her mind then went back to her baby, back to the days of her illness and death. She had to remind herself that the consensus was that the baby had died, but the curious and perhaps ridiculous question popped into her head.

How do you know that she died? You didn’t see her. You were only told that she died and was buried.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, J. Grace Warren’s new book is a satisfyingly spooky tale that might not only have the reader questioning the characters’ sanity but their own.

More than a simple ghost story, Warren explores the idea of how people—rather than merely houses—become the most haunted by tragic loss.

Readers can purchase “Footprints on My Mirror” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
