London, March 24, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Jordy Fu, acclaimed designer, architect and artist, presented her latest J By Jordy Fall/Winter collection ‘White Falls’ on the runways at the Arab Fashion Week (AFW) 2016 in Dubai, UAE, endorsed by the Arab Fashion Council and Huawei Arabia, followed swiftly by the Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) Fall 2016, Canada. AFW is a growing showcase and influential fashion event in The Middle East, AFW celebrates global creativity and unique talent, while VFW is renowned for featuring the latest new rising stars from around the world.
Both provide a stage for emerging and established designers worldwide. The ideal platforms for Jordy’s new and unique style, her latest White Falls Collection, from ‘J By Jordy’, in a blend of white hues, luscious cream, soft blue, gentle lavender and subtle grey, all enriched with luxurious textures, rocked the runways from coast to coast.
As an architect, I see fashion as three-dimensional space, not merely a construction of flat fabrics. All of the pieces in my White Falls Collection are sculptural artworks in their own right - living, breathing entities.

Reflective of the East meets West spirit of my work, I raced from the runway in the UAE to the catwalk in Canada, within the same week. It was thrilling!”
With a masterful blend of elegance and flirty flair, each creation was inspired by the movement of water, in abstract forms. This translated to fluid lines and elaborate 3D structures that are layered with asymmetry, a luminescent glow and dynamic movement. Jordy’s latest collection echoes the hallmarks of her unique architectural style and transcendental artworks. Jordy effortlessly fuses East and West, with techniques inspired by contemporary architecture and traditional Chinese paper cutting.
AFW took place at the St Regis Hotel, Dubai, from 16-19th March, with the ‘J By Jordy’ White Falls Collection shown, in conjunction with Huawei’s Swarovski Watch, from 8.00pm each evening, while VFW ran from 14th-20th March 2016, at the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Vancouver.

Yu Jordy Fu is an internationally acclaimed designer, artist and architect, as well as the CEO of M&J Group, located across Asia and Europe, and the Creative Director of the world’s largest fashion media company, Fashion TV. A graduate from the prestigious Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in London, Jordy also holds a Master of Arts in Architecture & Interiors at the Royal College of Arts, London, UK. She had her first solo art exhibition at the Beijing Capital Museum, aged six, and her artworks have since been published into numerous books, and been exhibited internationally.
