ItsyBiD's First 25 Auctions Have Saved Travelers Up To 99 Percent On Premium Vacations

New referral program increases incentives for vacationers to bid on growing list of destinations

itsyBiD, a new travel auction website that offers luxury hotel rooms, vacation packages and destination experiences to winning bidders, has awarded more than two dozen vacation packages since its launch in late September 2010. Successful bidders have saved an average of 95% on travel deals to coveted destinations, including Seattle, Napa, Ft. Lauderdale, Washington D.C. and Park City, UT.

The initial success of itsyBiD's auctions has led to additional vacation partners in destinations such as New York (Gild Hall Hotel) and Southern California (Shorebreak Hotel and Pacific Edge Hotel).

"itsyBiD recently launched a referral program, giving us the opportunity to thank our customers for helping us spread the word about itsyBID," said Graham Keavney, itsyBiD's co-founder. "For the first 10 new 'friends' who register, the referring customer receives 10 referral bids, and 5 bids thereafter. The bids can be used at any time and on any auction."

Bids are purchased on the itsyBiD site for $0.75 and sold in bundles of 20, 50, 100, 250, and 500. At the end of an auction, winners pay the final auction price plus the total of their used bids. For example, the winning bidder to The Atlantic Resort & Spa spent $59.71 for a $500 gift certificate, a savings of more than 88 percent. $2.71 was the final auction price and the winner used a total 76 bids.

Recently, auction winners saved:
• 97 percent on an $800 gift certificate to The Resort at The Mountain, Mount Hood, Oregon.
• 95 percent on a $500 gift certificate to La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa, Texas, a AAA Four Diamond Resort.
• 97 percent on a $500 gift certificate to Napa River Inn, California, a Historic Hotels of America.
• 99 percent on a $500 gift certificate to The Canyons, Utah's largest single ski and snowboard resort.

Recent auction winner Suellen M. posted on Facebook stating, "I won the bid for Ft. Lauderdale! I love this site."

Upon receiving her gift certificates from winning two recent auctions, April Z. posted on itsyBid's Facebook, "We took home a $500 gift certificate for the Benson and a $500 gift certificate to Park City for $5.05 and $0.27, respectively. Great idea. Keep the vacations coming!" April has since won a third auction to Napa.
