It's Bloom Time For Mums In Bristol

MOTHERS in Bristol have been named as among the most appreciated in the UK.

Mums in the city are more likely to receive Mother's Day flowers this Sunday than the majority of British locations.

In fact Bristol finished in the top 10 in a national league table to find the towns and cities where mums are most likely to receive a floral surprise or a Mother's Day gift.

Online florist Serenata Flowers conducted the survey, which was topped by York. Norwich was second, Colchester third and Cambridge fourth.

Peter Ahl, Managing Director of Serenata Flowers, said: "We thought it would be interesting to examine our Mother's Day sales figures from previous years in towns and cities across Britain."

"Based on the various population sizes, Bristol is the seventh most likely spot where mothers will receive flowers this Sunday. Hopefully mums living in Bristol will enjoy the day!"

Not so lucky are mothers who live in Ipswich, with the Suffolk town coming bottom of Serenata's league table. Also near the bottom are London, West Bromwich, Bradford and Blackpool.

Online flower delivery firm Serenata Flowers specialises in sending flowers across Britain six days a week. The online florist is gearing up for one of its busiest weekends of the year and will deliver thousands of bouquets for Mother's Day.

The company has flowers delivered to Bristol and has an array of bouquets, including Mother's Day lilies and many other Mother's Day gifts. Serenata delivers free and recently introduced an "avoid the school run".

Serenata also has two sister sites specialising in online wine and chocolate delivery - SerenataWines.com and SerenataChocolates.com.
