Interest Network Set To Take On The Giants

A brief review of the new interests network, bongal.com. A website that links users through interests and hobbies rather that through virtual friends.

Over the last few years social networking has taken over the Internet. Facebook has become the obvious leader of the pack, although there's a new site in town looking to make a break into the market.

Bongal.com is the brainchild of 2 entrepreneurs from the North of England, who had the idea to connect individuals based on their interests, rather than who they may already know from day to day life.

Members can quite literally set-up any group they can think of, and bongal.com will connect them to users with same interests and location.

Director, Rory Marshall said, "Bongal.com is designed for the people by the people. It helps bridge social gaps, bringing together like-minded people who have similar interests, opinions and experiences - creating a platform to meet, chat and discover."

Although the website is primarily a groups and interests based network, that doesn't mean that you can't search for people. Finding other people is quick and easy using the interactive bongal.com 'map'. Input preferred age, sex, location and interest into the map and you'll be presented with a range of relevant users to connect and chat with.

Creative Director, Andrew Akesson stated, "We are looking to create a network that joins people of any age, gender and race, connecting them purely through interests".

"But not only that," he continues "it's also a great way for a company to promote their business. For example a sports company could join the sports network, and they are then able to connect directly with their target audience."

The internationally acclaimed, digital marketing agency, Rippleffect, have created the website with the sole aim of creating something that the most illiterate computer user can surf.

It's all so simple to do and that's the beauty of bongal.com, who knows whom you'll meet or what you'll find out along the way.
