Industry Experts Shape Curriculum at IBMC and Attend Advisory Board Meeting

Community collaboration is important in developing the skills of students at the Institute of Business and Medical Careers. On Friday, November 4th IBMC helds its bi-annual Advisory Board meeting at the 3842 South Mason Street in Fort Collins, CO.

The Institute of Business and Medical Careers (IBMC) held their bi-annual Advisory Board Meeting on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the IBMC Fort Collins campus, 3842 South Mason Street.

Local business leaders gave valuable input regarding IBMC's current curriculum and used their industry expertise to lead group discussions on how to make a difference in the workplace and in the lives of IBMC's students.

Fifteen local business leaders attended and provided valuable input regarding IBMC's current curriculum. These leaders, who come from diverse business, medical, legal and massage backgrounds, all used their industry expertise to lead group discussions on how to make a difference in the workplace and in the lives of IBMC's students.

This program has proven to be a win-win situation for both the IBMC students and the employers in the local communities.

It has assisted in the expansion of externship outreach programs for employers and introduces students to employers as prospective employees.

The topics for discussion at this meeting were to review curriculum and course materials including: course descriptions (from IBMC catalog), program slicks, what employers are looking for employees, needed skill-sets and text books.
