Holux Launches GPSport 260 Pro to Meet the Needs of Its Sport and Fitness Consumers

GPSport260 is the small GPS gadget for multi-sports application. It combines a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with sport related records such as: Speed, Time, Distance, Altitude, Barometric Pressure, Compass, & GPS Position.

Holux Technology Inc. announced GPSport 260 Pro, an update for GPSport 260, the outdoor oriented GPS with route-planning and fitness analysis software bundled. Among other improvements, this release integrates with the newly released ANT+™ compatible heart rate monitor, speed and cadence sensors.

The GPSport 260 Pro inherits the same sturdy feel and shape of GPSport 260, in addition, it is packed with great features and is compatible with an optional heart rate monitor strap, cadence sensor and speed sensor for anyone who wants to have in-depth analysis on their rides and accordingly sharpen their outdoor performance.

Users can select their capability range of HRM & Cadence, also Training Time Period. Notification will be given once users had surpassed or fall behind their capability range. After the training session is complete, this mode can provide a complete summary of all statistics related to the training (incl. HRM, Cadence, Speed, Time, Distance, Grade, and Efficiency) in both data & graphic modes.

The GPSport 260 Pro works with a 2.4G ANT+ enabled HRM to display user's heart beat rate while riding. Heart rate zone indicates the most effective and yet safest heart rate range so that users can train and improve their fitness in the best way. Users can train themselves in a certain heart-rate zone to improve their fitness level or compare their pace and heart rate to past performance over the same ride. The GPSport 260 Pro measures the user's heart rate with the lightweight, comfortable heart rate strap. The latest ANT+™ technology provides accurate data and eliminates the interference from cross-talk.

The GPSport 260 Pro monitors your pedaling cadence and wheel speed as you ride bike with the wireless cadence and speed sensors securely attached.

With the aforementioned wireless heart rate monitor and speed/cadence sensor, the GPSport 260 Pro helps users achieve their personal best.

While riding, you can choose the display through a number of different modes which display various real-time data on the screen: speed, distance, time, calories burned, altitude, altitude change, pace and optional training data. Users can rotate these pages by enabling the auto-flip function and these data are at the same time being stored for user's measurement and review after workout. Users can choose the standard display which shows current speed (in digital and analogue fashions), grade (altitude variation in percentage), odometer, trip distance, and clock in the central area, while icons of GPS signal, compass direction, battery status and GPS Log are placed in the four corners respectively for fast glimpse. The GPSport 260 Pro incorporates a barometric altimeter so that changes in elevation are extra precise, this is especially useful for those who are particular about the altitude variation.

The device stores 2 odometers, which is perfect for users who may want to log all their data somewhere, but want to get out for another ride or switch to another bike or vehicle.

The Plot feature enables users to view their current GPS states either in real-time track log or real-time plot, both are shown in graphical display. The Plot mode shows data depending on users' preference.

Other helpful GPS features include Follow Courses and Multiple Finder. The Follow Course allows users to plan their routes with ezTour Planner and send it to GPSport 260 Pro. You may use the GPSport 260 Pro as a tour guide so that you can go to a new place for your adventure with better preparation. Courses can be obtained either from a track log listed in history or can be imported from ezTour Planner.

The Multiple-finder helps users remember the location and guides them back when users are in unfamiliar surroundings. Multiple-finder also makes it easy for users to visit a new city. Just enter the coordinates of the destination in advance and later the GPSport 260 Pro will guide you all the way to it. Surpassing its precedent, the GPSport 260 Pro comes with the latest version of Multiple-finder mode storing up to 20 Finder Points. Users can edit those Finder Points in their own languages with ezTour Planner on their computer. Not only that, the additional TripStart auto records first GPS signal location for Finder point.

The GPSport 260 also functions as a pedometer too that measures distance walked, number of steps taken, time, and calories burned. Just set your stride length and press OK, you are ready to go.

The GPSport 260 comes with powerful software called ezTour Plus and ezTour Planner. The ezTour Plus, like its previous version, ezTour namely, synchronizes track logs with geo-tagged photos and displays them together on Google map. Plus, it helps users to track and analyze their fitness activities. The ezTour Plus calculates measurements such as time, distance, speed, altitude, and calories consumed. The information is displayed through charts, and can be exported to reports in Excel file format.

As for ezTour Planner, it facilitates course planning prior to users' outdoor adventures. Once users finish their rides, they just connect the GPSport 260 Pro to the computer with the included USB cable, and they can start to review their track log and analyze their performance as well.
