Hundreds of children and their families enjoyed the snow at L. Ron Hubbard’s Winter Wonderland on Hollywood Boulevard continuing a tradition that began 36 years ago when the holiday setting was presented as a gift to the children of Hollywood by author, humanitarian and Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard. For many children, this has been their first experience playing in the snow.

There are also gifts from Santa and traditional Christmas carolers at the classic Hollywood winter set that includes 60 evergreen trees and a giant 60-foot white fir, all ablaze with more than 25,000 lights.

Tens of thousands of Angelenos and visitors from around the world have visited Winter Wonderland through the month of December.

“We have visitors from across Los Angeles, much of the United States and from every continent. Year after year youngsters experience this unique setting in the heart of Hollywood,” said Louis Ricketts of the Friends of L. Ron Hubbard, which produces the annual event.

Admission is free and the set will remain open through Dec. 25.
