Want tips on taking a great portrait? Here's some of Arjun's advice:

Creating a portrait is not that simple, there are few things that one should keep in mind especially if you are a beginner. Let's look at a few tips that will make your portrait look good.

Position the subject sideways. Let the subject pose sideways and let them be comfortable so that the image looks lively and good. By turning partially sideways towards the camera the body is elongated making the subject look taller.

Another great tip when taking a portrait photo is to tell the subject to have their chin down. Make sure that the chin does not go all the way down to the neck; this will ruin the image.

Shooting above the subject is another of the basic portrait tips. When you take an image from above, make sure to explain to the subject that they need to slim their face, so as to create a wonderful image. When taken from a high angle, one can capture the best features, such as the eyes and the face, which makes a whole lot of difference.

In addition to tips on taking great photos, you can also get advice on buying the best equipment. Why spend $500 on a camera when you can get a better camera for less than half the price? Arjun's top tips, decide what you want to do with the camera, know your budget and understand the quality of photos you are trying to achieve.

His top tips for beginner photographers are the following:
Keep you camera with you at all times
Make a list of shots you want to get
Enjoy the process
Never stop experimenting

With Arjun's help you can be a great photographer, well maybe not great but at least you can get better.
