Haverfield Aviation, Inc., Expands Fleet of Helicopters
Online, May 31, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Haverfield Aviation, Inc. recently added two aircraft to their existing fleet of 20 McDonnell Douglas MD500 helicopters. Haverfield's fleet has become what is now the largest civilian fleet of MD500's in the world. In order to maintain their large fleet, Haverfield employs highly skilled mechanics who have attained a 98 percent reliability rate since 1999, one of the highest reliability rates in the helicopter industry.
"Due to continued growth in the power line service industry and an increase in the use of helicopters, it is only logical that we do everything we can to keep up with demand, and stay prepared." said Dave Sellers, Director of Maintenance for Haverfield. "An increased fleet size gives our operations department the ability to immediately react to the ever increasing demands of our customers."
In the days following the extreme devastation that super storm Sandy left behind in the northeast, Haverfield's incomparable dependability and availability was most evident. The sheer size of Haverfield's fleet gave them the ability to rapidly respond to the emergency without any interruptions to the service of Haverfield's current projects and its customers.
