Shanghai based H2O Solutions Limited has secured international patent protection for its proprietary multi-charged plate desalination process.
Online, August 1, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The process is a result of over six years of in-house company research and trials. The key to the high yield and low operating costs is the use of a specifically formulated titanium alloy applied to the plate arrays by vacuum vapor plating. This coating allows for energy efficiency ratings as high as 87.4%, compared to 38% with traditional methods. This reduction in power consumption will result in significant savings for owner/ lessors of the purification modules.
Starting in the fourth quarter of 2011, all modules manufactured will benefit from the upgraded technology. Existing modules already in worldwide use can be upgraded with minimal down time and expense.
