Guida's Milk Donates $2,500 To Red Cross Disaster Relief

Guida's Milk, one of the few remaining family-owned independent dairies in the northeast, donated $2,500 to the Springfield Chapter of the Red Cross Disaster Relief Program earlier this week.

Guida's Milk, one of the few remaining family-owned independent dairies in the northeast, donated $2,500 to the Springfield Chapter of the Red Cross Disaster Relief Program earlier this week. The generous donation is a result of a program Guida's Milk ran in the months of June, July and August, which designated a portion of the profits from each gallon of their milk sold in the state of Massachusetts to help the tornado victims.

Earlier this month, Guida's Milk also donated approximately 4,000 gallons of Guida's Spring Water to the Connecticut Food Bank. This charitable donation was initiated to assist CT residents affected most by the recent devastating results of Hurricane Irene. "We are trying to do our part as a local company to help our local community." said Michael Guida, the President of Guida's Milk.

Guida's Milk is a strong supporter of the local community and charitable events. Their reputation has helped sustain their business, which now celebrates its 125th anniversary. Guida's Milk has made several other recent charible contributions, including helping to raise a record-breaking $300,000 this summer at the Guida's Milk / BIAC Golf Tournament for individuals with brain injuries.

Guida's Milk encourages other companies and individuals in the surrounding area to follow their lead and do what they can to help their local community, especially in this time of need. For more information on how you can help your local disaster relief programs, you can go to:
