Grammy Award-Winner Brandi Carlile Releases Official Music Video for 'The Mother,' Produced on Genero Platform

SAN FRANCISCO, May 9, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and performer Brandi Carlile’s official music video for “The Mother” premieres today. Released in celebration of Mother’s Day, the video was created by an entirely female crew on the Genero platform and depicts motherhood from a diverse range of cultures, religions, lifestyles and races.

“The Mother” comes from Carlile's critically acclaimed sixth studio album, “By The Way, I Forgive You” (available via Low Country Sound/Elektra), which won three awards at the 2019 GRAMMY® Awards. Carlile was the most nominated female artist at this year’s ceremony, including a nomination for Album of the Year. Produced by Dave Cobb and Shooter Jennings and recorded at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A, the album includes 10 new songs written by Carlile and longtime collaborators and bandmates Tim and Phil Hanseroth, “The Mother” is the fourth official video released from the album, following “The Joke,” “Party of One” and “Hold Out Your Hand.”
Commissioned via creative platform Genero, “The Mother” video was produced by Jess Lowe Chaverri—a U.S.-based filmmaker who most recently produced Radiohead’s “Man Of War” video and directed CID RIM “Control” video.
