Gooroo Backs Search for Recession-Busting New Stars of British Business
Online, December 1, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Online business management software company Gooroo is backing British business entrepreneurship by teaming up with leading business advice website startups.co.uk to recognise the very best emerging new business talent at the 2010 Startups Awards which take place this month.
Gooroo launched Gooroo Standard, a new online software application which simplifies business management for start-up businesses, earlier this year and recently introduced a free 30-day trial to help new businesses make their first steps into profit.
As principal sponsor of the Startups Awards, Gooroo is now helping to sportlight Britain's most promising start-up companies as the potential household names of the future. Past winners include Glasses Direct, BeatThatQuote.com and Ella's Kitchen.
Gooroo Chief Executive and British computing industry pioneer John Hadler will be selecting the winners of 15 categories as part of a business-star judging panel which also includes Toni Mascolo, co-founder of the Toni&Guy hair salons, First Tuesday co-founder Julie Meyer and entrepreneur James Taylor who showed his flair for business in BBC's recent hit TV programme, The Last Millionaire.
