Golfers Get Some Help In The Wind
Online, July 31, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Santa Cruz, CA - GoingApps, a family run iPhone development company, has taken their top-selling iPhone application "Wind Meter" and included it as part of their latest application: Wind Caddy. Wind Caddy uses a complex algorithm created by professional golfer, caddy, and physicist Ken Tannar to determine the best golf club selection for any shot as well as the correct aim depending on wind conditions.
Robert Diller, of the GoingApps team commented "when we launched Wind Meter, we got so much interest from all over the world, that many people came to us with their ideas for more applications. One guy had actually written a book and worked out detailed algorithms for any golf shot, taking wind conditions into account. He wanted to integrate those algorithms with our Wind Meter. That is the one idea that really caught our eye." That gentleman was Ken Tannar. "I've spent my whole career combining my passion of golf with my true profession of mathematics and physics" said Mr. Tannar. Mr. Tannar currently runs a website, Probable Golf Instruction and has published multiple books and articles on golf instruction.
"We believe that Wind Caddy will be a handy tool for any golfer looking to improve their game" says Diller.
