GLS Announcement of New Riverbed Cascade® Service Offering
Online, September 17, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Riverbed Cascade® Managed Service: GLS has a long history helping customers manage the performance of their networks and applications. GLS is pleased to announce support for the Riverbed Cascade® platform.
From the GLS NOC 24x7 support for implementation and ongoing monitoring and management of the Cascade Platform components is provided. GLS customizes the alerting features of the platform to provide timely notification of performance events to the responsible IT resource. The responsible IT resource may be the customer's internal IT staff, management vendor, contractor or the GLS NOC. GLS manages platform availability, threshold notification tuning, report setup and customization of the platform. This allows the customer's IT resources to focus on leveraging Cascades rich and timely data to more cost effectively manage the performance of applications across the IT infrastructure.
Riverbed Cascade® Performance Review: To maximize the value of Riverbed Cascade® GLS periodically reviews performance data with the clients IT team. During the review GLS helps the client understand and isolate persistent application and network performance issues. The performance review supplements the ongoing performance threshold notifications and helps ensure that the IT team is focused on the most important business impacting issues. Additionally, the Cascade performance review studies under/over utilized bandwidth and servers to ensure proper capacity planning and reduce and eliminate unneeded IT assets and expense.
Incident Response: When there is a significant performance problem with a key application or network event GLS is available to help troubleshoot the issue even when GLS is not responsible for managing the equipment and/or applications that are in distress. A GLS Cascade expert will help isolate the issues in real time via WebEx and provide the responsible IT team with the data needed to organize an action plan to correct the situation.
