Glow Media Hosts 2nd Annual Glow Golf Weekend At PGA Village

On Thursday, October 20th - Sunday, October 23, Glow Media returned to the PGA Village, in Port St. Lucie Florida, for its annual GLOW Golf Weekend.
• Glow Media, in partnership with Georgetown College announced that they will present two GLOW scholarships to multicultural women. "GLOW Scholars" two women, will each receive a 4-year scholarship valued at $10,000 per year to help them in their studies.
• Legendary golfer and educator Renee Powell was honored with The GLOW Pioneer Award, for creating a level playing field and opportunities for minority women.
• The Black Jewels Ladies Golf Association received The GLOW Trailblazer Award for "educating, enlightening, and uniting women of color who love to play golf."
• The PGA returned as Founding Sponsor of GLOW Golf and announced its continuing support.
• Prudential sponsored Saturdays awards luncheon, which featured Phyllis Shelton, President of LTC Consultants, who spoke on the benefits of long-term care insurance. Followed by a "Fireside Chat" with Keith Clinkscales, ESPN's Senior VP of Content Development and Enterprises, and Deborah Stroman, Sports Administration at UNC, discussing the views about men and women playing together on the golf course.
• The Golf Channel provided the documentary film, Uneven Fairways, which celebrated African Americans contributions to golf and portrayed the history of African Americans and the sport.
• Anthony Stepney, PGA Director of Instruction, gave a keynote address, "From the Boardroom to the Clubhouse, Impacting Your Bottom Line One Stroke at a Time", where he highlighted "how to improve any executive's bottom line regardless of the level of play or years of experience".
