Charlotte Kechejian: 98 years old. Born in Nikhda, Turkey on July 12, 1912.

Armenian Americans and anti-genocide activists from across the U.S. will be watching the House Foreign Affairs Committee mark-up of the Armenian Genocide Resolution (H.Res.252), in the hope that the panel's support will mark a step toward ending Turkey's gag rule on U.S. affirmation of this crime against humanity. U.S. recognition of the Armenian Genocide enjoys broad bipartisan support including Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
