Game Changer for NAP; Next Wave Connect Delivers Collaboration Software and Community Ecosystem
Huntsville, TX, October 28, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The healthcare conversation inside the Next Wave Connect community continues to grow with the addition of new partner, National Academies of Practice (NAP) and it’s 14 interdisciplinary Academies. Next Wave is the only community ecosystem built for healthcare. NAP is the only group of healthcare practitioners and scholars dedicated to supporting affordable, accessible, and coordinated healthcare for all through inter-professional partnership.
NAP President, Satya B. Verma, OD, FAAO, FNAP, Diplomate said, “We at NAP are very excited about our partnership with Next Wave Connect. Next Wave certainly provides us with the latest in communication technology and tools to reach out and communicate with our membership and others. We look forward to our collaboration and the outcomes it is likely to bring.” This unique blend of a shared collaborative mission feeds a community environment already positioned for meaningful engagement on multiple healthcare issues.

NAP was founded from the need for healthcare professionals from different disciplines to work together to advise Congress on what is best for the American people. Next Wave Connect seeks to connect like professionals working on similar issues, while also providing an ecosystem for cross collaboration between disciplines, associations, and organizations.
The aligned vision and goals of Next Wave and NAP will open many possibilities that facilitate growth in the healthcare conversation. Next Wave provides a collaborative and secure community for healthcare professionals across the industry to solve problems and develop best practices, and NAP provides an outlet for those conversations to ultimately make a difference and improve the lives of millions of Americans.
Stephen Passalacqua, Corporate Development Officer of Next Wave, said, “We’re excited to have the members of NAP join our community ecosystem. We’re looking forward to their continued participation in helping drive engagement. With engagement increasing 173% from Q1 to Q2 of this year, the addition of NAP sets the table for that trend to continue.”
The addition of NAP’s distinguished members will no doubt elevate the conversation even further and provide a variety of viewpoints not currently represented. NAP’s members represent 14 Academies and will be able to collaborate amongst themselves, amongst each other, and amongst the greater ecosystem on Next Wave Connect.
The Next Wave Connect community ecosystem for healthcare enables leaders to collaborate on critical issues ranging from Patient Engagement to Information Technology. Welcoming NAP, a healthcare decision support leader, will further expand opportunities for engagement in solving challenges we all face in healthcare today.
