Fusemachines Inc. Announces Scholarship for 10,000 Students as Part of Its Global AI Training Program to Address Talent Shortage in Artificial Intelligence

Fusemachines Inc. launches a global scholarship program to combat the shortage of AI talent through its learning platform fuse.ai.

Fusemachines Inc., a leading provider of AI solutions, software and services announces the global launch of its Artificial Intelligence Scholarship Program to provide AI training to students from underserved communities around the world.

This 10,000-seat scholarship program will work as a precursor to the highly selective Fusemachines AI Fellowship program. The company (with offices in New York City, Nepal, Canada and the Dominican Republic), started its flagship initiative, the AI Fellowship in Nepal, in 2017. Since then, it has trained hundreds of students in Nepal, New York City, the Dominican Republic and Rwanda. Even though the Fusemachines AI Fellowship has had a huge impact, the shortage of AI talent requires a higher number of AI engineers on the market. The scholarship will enable the organization to scale its mission of democratizing AI and making AI education accessible across the globe.

The training program will enable us to scale our AI training across borders and create a bigger impact globally. Drawing from the experience with our AI Fellowship program, we will build a pipeline of AI engineers through quality grooming, exceptional mentorship and work opportunities.

Sameer R. Maskey, Founder/CEO

Fusemachines scholarship will grant highly competitive students access to the proprietary Artificial Intelligence learning platform and content, proprietary AI coding and build platform, a community of AI experts and mentors, and on-site weekly training in local classrooms. The scholarship will enable students to get hands-on experience in a wide range of AI techniques from computer vision to natural language processing. With the guidance from mentors, students will be encouraged to design their own projects that address real-life situations and social issues using concepts and theories of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

“The training program will enable us to scale our AI training across borders and create a bigger impact globally. Drawing from the experience with our AI Fellowship program, we will build a pipeline of AI engineers through quality grooming, exceptional mentorship and work opportunities, “ says Fusemachines Founder/CEO Sameer Maskey.

Applications are open now until Oct. 5th, 2018. Anyone can apply by registering at www.fuse.ai, preference will be given, but not limited to, people with a background in Computer Science and Mathematics.
