Funk Vigilante have just released their latest single "Internet Fight Song" and the accompanying music video. The video is currently generating attention and it can be viewed on Youtube here: www.youtube.com/watch?&v=hi4kfTah7yI as well as on the bands website.

The "Internet Fight Song" uses comedy, explicit lyrics and Funk Vigilantes unique sound to convey the message that the Internet must be protected at all costs. The band states that recent bills being pushed through in the US and elsewhere are gaining momentum even thought they are dangerous to the inherent fabric of the Internet.

Singer "Ghosty Boy" states in a recent interview "Our album isn't even close to coming out yet, but we felt really strongly about this topic and we needed to get something out there now". When asked about the comedic aspect of the video Ghosty says "We don't take this subject matter lightly at all. This is a serious issue and I think that using comedy and music to bring attention to it is a good thing. Great movements throughout history have often been spear-headed by musicians, comedians and entertainers. We are just trying to do our part to contribute to the voice of protest that is rising out there."

Ghosty also states that they believe these bills are getting next to no attention and the mainstream media and that advocates of a free and open Internet will need to step up and speak out where the mainstream media has failed.

Funk Vigilante, who are known for their powerful lyrics and heavy music, are a Canadian funk-metal band who made waves world-wide with their single "Worst President Ever" and it's accompanying music video, and are currently writing for their sophomore release.

Their debut release titled "Civil Disobedience" is currently available through their website and most major digital retailers.
