FOWNDERS Launches Code-a-Thon to Boost Newark Tech Capability

Newark, NJ social-impact start-up accelerator launches 'Art of the Code' with coding competition and cash prizes

FOWNDERS, the social-impact start-up accelerator based in Newark, New Jersey launched the Art of Code, a Code-a-Thon that pits two-person teams in a coding competition for cash prizes. Art of Code Code-a-Thon begins at 6:30PM, Friday November 4th at FOWNDERS-Newark campus at 48 Norfolk Street. Competition registration is available at The Art of Code – Competitive Coding for Self-Fulfillment and Expression Meet Up Group and Fownders.com.

FOWNDERS’ Art of Code Code-a-Thon will be led Keith Williams, the “Mr. Miyagi of Code” who is the director of web information systems at New Jersey Institute of Technology and CTO at Anthiem Ventures. Regarding the Code-a-Thon, Williams said: “FOWNDERS is fast-becoming one of the pillars of Newark’s entrepreneurial spirit and leading the charge in bridging some of the best minds in marketing with the technical talent that is building our future.”

Regarding Keith Williams, FOWNDERS CEO Gerard Adams said: “Keith is a foremost expert in both teaching and collaborating on some of the most advanced technologies that solve marketable problems across IT infrastructure, big data systems, cybersecurity and applications testing and design.
