Former Telefonica Executive Mauricio Flores Joins McAllen Data Center as Chief Operating Officer

Flores is a subject matter expert in Mexico's telecom sector with over 20 years of experience in networking, business relations, and regulatory affairs in the country.

McAllen Data Center (MDC), the leading carrier-neutral colocation provider in the US-Mexico border, is pleased to announce the addition of former Sub-director of IP Network Engineering for Telefonica Mexico Mauricio Flores as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

In this position, Flores will be responsible for overseeing and managing MDC's operations, engineering, and customer service. His vast knowledge in the telecom sector in Mexico will be instrumental in driving growth for the company on the border.

Flores was previously Sub-director of IP and Network Transmission for Telefonica Mexico, where he was responsible for engineering, implementation, and operation of fixed mobile and digital services for B2C and B2B customers.

Last month, McAllen Data Center announced the opening of two new data centers in Laredo and El Paso. The company plans on extending its footprint of interconnection services from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean along the US-Mexico border.
