Former San Diego City Attorney Jan Goldsmith Joins Procopio
San Diego, CA, March 16, 2017 (Newswire.com) - The latest addition to Procopio’s thriving practice is Jan Goldsmith, who for the last eight years served as San Diego City Attorney after a distinguished career as a practicing attorney, civil servant, and judge. He has joined Procopio as Of Counsel in its Litigation Team.

Goldsmith brings more than 40 years of legal experience to Procopio. Most recently he served two terms as San Diego City Attorney, stepping down at the end of 2016 due to term limits. Prior public service included a decade as a judge on the San Diego Superior Court, three terms as a member of the California State Assembly, and several years as a councilman and mayor for the city of Poway, California. Goldsmith began his career in private practice specializing in business litigation. He has won extensive accolades, including career achievement awards from the International Municipal Lawyers Association, the San Diego Business Journal, and the University of San Diego School of Law.
