Flow Cytometry-Based Tools to Enrich Your Preclinical Immuno-Oncology Research, New Webinar Hosted by Xtalks
TORONTO, April 30, 2018 (Newswire.com) - In a live broadcast upcoming on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 1 p.m. EDT, industry experts from MI Bioresearch Dylan Daniel, Ph.D., director of scientific development, and David Draper, Ph.D., associate director of scientific development, will describe advances in flow cytometry-based tools and provide an understanding of how these applications can be used to examine a drug’s mechanism of action.
As clinical successes with cancer immunotherapy accumulate, preclinical immuno-oncology research depends on greater mechanistic understanding of novel therapeutic strategies. MI Bioresearch offers comprehensive flow panels for immune profiling and functional characterization of immune cell activation state.
The objectives of this live presentation are three-fold. First, featured speakers will present advanced approaches to ex vivo myeloid and lymphoid immunophenotypic analysis. Emphasis will be placed on the challenges presented by the complex nature of tumor-derived cell analysis. The speakers will describe how these challenges have been overcome to delineate myeloid subsets including myeloid-derived suppressor cell, macrophage and dendritic cell subsets. Furthermore, the speakers will demonstrate techniques that can help interpret the effects that in vivo therapy has on immunosuppression in T cells.
Next, they will demonstrate techniques that analyze cytokine responses in T cells and other lymphoid cells, which have been documented to drive anti-tumor activity within the tumor microenvironment. Using a case study, they will illustrate how these applications can help interpret the efficacy of new drugs. Finally, they will present ex vivo data that dissects the therapeutic effects on MAPK and JAK/STAT signaling pathways in both the tumor cells and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes simultaneously.
