Shelly Straub is creator and publisher of Connextions Magazine. Straub re-enters the trade publishing arena as a welcome addition to New York's efforts to rejuvenate the local LGBT economy, and fills a powerful niche through the creation of Connextions Magazine. Straub is utilizing her experience in project management, scheduling, coordination, reporting, administration and accounting to create a multi-interest journal serving the field. Her previous publications include: Builder/Architect, CNY Architecture & Construction, AIA CNY monthly newsletter, AIA NYS Desk Reference and the award winning AIA CNY Annual Design & Build Award Ceremony publication. Shelly Straub, a self-styled declaration of independence, combined with a skilled team of writers, designers, photographers, promoters, and dreamers, plans to add a strong voice to the people involved in establishing our LGBT community as an economic giant. "I have climbed the corporate ladder, even making my way into the world of wind energy but just don't have the passion that I find through publishing," says Straub.

The journey through "Gay" America will take approximately 8 years to complete, publishing six issues per year. The online poll gives our readers an opportunity to choose the next featured state for Issue #2. To follow our tour, please log on to our website at:
