Film Industry News: Meet Los Angeles Youngest Filmmaker
Online, April 26, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Breaking into the film industry is always a difficult road. Breaking into it at a young age is even harder. 19-year-old James Cullen Bressack, believed to be Los Angeles youngest filmmaker, is making it look easy. And like many filmmakers before him, Bressack is dreaming of winning an Oscar someday; which is quickly turning into reality.
Yes, breaking the mold and setting his self apart as the new generation of horror/cult directors is what John Cullen Bressack is doing, bringing a new cutting edge to the genre that has been missed.
There hasn't been a breakout horror hit since a puppet named Jigsaw jump-started the grotesque Saw franchise back in 2004. But don't fret, there is a new young horror director making his way onto the scene with the hopes of resurrecting the genre.
This rising star is set to deliver one of the better frights of 2011, My Pure Joy.
Let's just say he keeps the plot twisting, the action humming and the blood curling, oh yes, Horror is alive and well.
Completing his first film at age 18, My Pure Joy - is his first feature, a horror film, sure to be a cult classic. Take a peek at the teaser trailer now.
