Exhilway Announces Revamping Of Its Alternative Trading Platform
Online, September 9, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Exhilway, the US based leading $2 billion hedge fund has announced revamping of its alternative trading platform (ATP) to simplify private stock trading for the global emerging / pre IPO companies. Exhilway which launched its ATP last year, has announced $7 million investment into its ATP to make it more user friendly and globally effective.
"The stock markets today does not fully support innovation and price discovery mechanism. It was highly required that the world should have a private trading platform which can help emerging or pre IPO companies in discovering their corporate valuations effectively. We will continue to invest in our ATP which has already gained lot of traction from the investors worldwide," said Ravi Agarwal, Co-Founder of Exhilway hedge fund.
Exhilway which launched its ATP services in India last year will open to the global markets by September end. Exhilway will cover 195 out of 196 countries, Pakistan will be kept as an exception initially. The maximum of 10,000 companies will be listed on the ATP and is on the first come first served basis. Exhilway will start accepting listing requests once the platform is up and running.
Exhilway expects to value companies worth $23 billion on the platform. Over 60,000 high net worth investors will participate once the platform is live.
"Exhilway will be a different kind of ATP, we will not only provide the listing services to the companies but we will also help them to find investors online, without stepping out of the office. The companies can liquidate common or preferred stock of their companies to raise small or medium sized funding without investing heavily into the advisory or merchant banking services," said Joseph Banks, CEO for the Exhilway's ATP operations.
Private stocks helps emerging companies to attract and retain employees as promoters can issue stock options or sweat equity to the deserving employee or partner. Listing on Exhilway platform will also help promoters of the emerging companies to provide timely exit to its investors, employees and company's management.
"Private markets is the future of the stock markets, Exhilway has made a highly sensible move," said Teresa Scott, Research Analyst with Bank of America.
