European Payment Summit announces that the Florin Awards for payment innovators are now open for entries in three new categories.

The Florin Awards is a prestigious title in the field of Payments that recognizes the best innovations and strongest solutions in the payments industry.   They were created in 2010 to stimulate innovation in the transaction services industry by providing nominees and winners with substantial benefits to assist the promotion of their solutions / products.

“In the constant metamorphosis of the payments industry, new players bring about exciting innovations to challenge traditional ways of transactions. The Florin Awards highlights the best providers deserving of recognition for the extraordinary work they do, and promotes the industry, leading the digital transformation of our societies,” said Harry Smorenberg, chairman of the EUROPEAN Payment Summit 2016.

In 2016, the Florin Awards will be open for entries in three categories. A jury of truly professionals and visionary experts will select the nominees. Next to the Jury vote and reports, Nominees also will be open for the ‘public vote’. The Paypers will communicate the Nominees and open the voting option soonest the Nominees are being selected. On 10 March 2015, the winners will be announced at the 15th EuropeanPaymentSummit in Brussels.

Three Categories are:

  • Best Blockchain Breakthrough Application 

This award credits the best solution developed using blockchain technology that could potentially be scaled and impact payments / the transaction space. We focus on early innovative solutions that harnesses the strengths of blockchain.

  • Best Customer Centric Excellence

This award recognizes payment solutions that are not just commercially successful but also excels in being ‘customer centric’. It should be easily embraced by customers, and delivers solutions that is above par in terms of customer friendliness / ease of use and be part of the ‘logical logistics of the day-to-day routine of consumers.

  • Best Fraud Prevention Innovation

The digital age makes fraud prevention a critical task. This award goes to the best innovation that looks to shake up the industry in terms of fraud prevention. Innovations, nominated in this category, strive to minimize online privacy and security problems that could lead to fraud and, therefore, impact both the company and the customer.

How to Submit Your Entry

Interested candidates are invited to submit their entries latest by 30 January 2016.  Winners will be announced at the EUROPEAN Payment Summit 2016 in Brussels.
