EPS Announces New Tier 4 Final Power Generator for Mobile Medical Trailers
ROCK HILL, S.C., December 6, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Engine Power Source (EPS) has introduced a new 45kW mobile diesel generator optimized for use on medical trailers and other similar applications. This all-new design is fully compliant with the EPA's stringent Tier 4 Final regulations for exhaust emissions.
Due to the nature of services provided by mobile medical trailers and the environments they operate in, their electric power generators must be highly-dependable and quiet. In addition, consideration needs to be given to the generator’s overall appearance, ease of maintenance, and elimination of exhaust fumes. All of these factors were key considerations during the development of this new EPS product.
"Designing a generator to meet the needs of the medical trailer industry is a big enough challenge, but it's even more difficult now that EPA Tier 4 Final emission rules are in effect. Fortunately, EPS got ahead of the curve with Tier 4 a number of years ago, and today, that is providing big benefits for our customers," said Steve Whitman, EPS Generator Sales Manager.
Like all EPS mobile diesel generators, this unit incorporates rugged industrial construction and numerous noise and vibration technologies to help ensure a long service life and quiet operation. Unique to this unit is an enclosed exhaust system that vents near the radiator exhaust, thus eliminating the need for an external exhaust pipe attached to the trailer. This innovation is made possible, in part, due to the latest Tier 4 diesel technology, which significantly reduces exhaust fumes.
This new 45kW generator also features a galvanneal and aluminum enclosure with two-stage powder coated white paint and corrosion-resistant stainless-steel hardware on the outside, to help reduce weight and present an attractive appearance for a medical trailer. A removable panel on one side of the unit provides convenient access to all engine maintenance parts.
