EO Passengers Return Safely from Egypt
After working around the clock, Educational Opportunities Tours was able to get all passengers out of Egypt safely and quickly.
Online, February 1, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The Educational Opportunities staff has worked around the clock during the last few days to assure all travelers made it out of Egypt safely. Initial calls made to the state department were futile with the Egyptian Officials stating their first priorities were to get all state officials and diplomats out, followed by persons with disabilities. That did not stop the EO team from seeking other arrangements. Although many Egyptian communication portals were down, EO kept in touch with staff in the area through American phone lines that were still up. Within 48 hours after the riots beginning in Egypt, Educational Opportunities had plans in action to get all passengers in Cairo and the surrounding areas to safer ground. At 1:33 pm on 1/31 word was confirmed that the last plane carrying 4 EO passengers had landed in Rome. EO has set plans for the group to enjoy a tour of ancient Rome on Tuesday along with first class hotel accommodations in Rome before their return flight on Wednesday (barring a setback by the winter storm hitting the U.S.).

Passengers arriving back in the U.S. from Jordan this week stated that if wasn't for the news they would not have known there was any unrest. "Jordan was absolutely lovely! Everyone was kind and courteous; it was such a nice trip. We could not even tell anything was going on (in Egypt)." Stated Peggy Dennard, who just got back to her home in Jacksonville, FL. Of course this is not the news you will see on CNN as it does not hold viewers' attention.
