Embassy of Japan Announces Japan-UK Robotics and AI Seminar in London

The Embassy of Japan will hold the Japan-UK Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Seminar 2016 (Thursday, 18th February) at the Embassy in London, featuring presentations regarding the latest research trends by world leading researchers in the UK and Japan, co- hosted with the British Embassy Tokyo and UK-RAS NETWORK.

Thanks to the recent rapid research progress in the fields of Big Data analysis and artificial intelligence, there is now increasing worldwide expectation for further technological and social innovation. Both Japan and the UK are leading the way in these research areas. With this in mind, this event will deliver several keynote presentations introducing recent trends in the field of robotics and AI in the UK and Japan, and will be followed by discussion on future innovation and business collaboration between the two countries.

  • Supercomputing for Robotics, Biomechanics, and Neuroscience

    Prof Yoshihiko Nakamura, Professor, University of Tokyo

    Prof Guang-Zhong Yang, Professor, Imperial College London

  • Computer Vision for Human-Computer Interaction Prof. Roberto Cipolla, Professor, University of Cambridge

  • Collaborative R&D on Autonomous Vehicles Mr Llewelyn Morgan, Oxfordshire County Council
