Harbour Nights take place each Wednesday of the high season. At sunset, Front Street in Hamilton is closed to vehicle traffic and is transformed into a lively street party and fair. Vendors line the street selling all manner of locally-made crafts. Food vendors sell both Bermudian favorites as well as cuisine from around the world.
Live music, sparkling lights, and the popular Gombey dancers serve as the backdrop for all the fun of this Bermuda event. The Bermuda Regiment also makes an appearance each week. This is a family-friendly event, so there is plenty for kids to do including taking a train ride, getting their faces painted or hair braided, and burning off some energy in the bouncy houses.
Harbour Nights is the largest and longest-running street festival on Bermuda. The first of this year’s Bermuda event will take place on May 3rd. The festivities are easy to reach via ferry or bus.
