EASY Travel to Azerbaijan
Baku, Azerbaijan , December 16, 2016 (Newswire.com) - ASAN visa system, established with Presidential Decree, is designed to issue a single-entry e-visa (valid for 30 days’ stay) to nationals of 81 countries and stateless persons visiting Azerbaijan, which was host country for Eurovision Song Contest 2012, 1st European Games 2015 and Formula 1 Grand Prix 2016.
Through the ASAN visa portal, foreigners will be able to get a visa online within 3 days without residency restriction, leaving their homes, standing in queue, gathering documents and submitting passport. The visa fee is $20 and it can be paid online. Furthermore, e-visas can be issued to the individuals, families (2 to 10 people) and groups (10 to 300 people). ASAN visa portal is currently operating in test mode and it will be fully functional starting January 10, 2017.

The concept of new visa system is derived from the standards of ASAN service, which is established with the initiative of Azerbaijani President. ASAN service is a one-stop shop public service center and recently awarded with the United Nation’s most prestigious award on public service delivery. Currently around 13 million people have used services of ASAN service centers and satisfaction rate is close to 100 percent. It should be noted that the experience of Azerbaijani brand ASAN service, is regularly researched and applied in practice by both developing and developed countries including Italy, Estonia, Albania, Korea, Macedonia, Afganistan and etc.
In order to apply standards of ASAN Service to all public services, earlier in this year, ASAN Service Index was launched. This index will measure the quality of all public service delivery, which will enable decision-makers to identify shortcomings in public service delivery and encourage responsible authorities to take necessary measures to improve the efficiency in this field. It is important to note that this index will be first evaluation index based on objective criteria, which will certainly innovate the way of service delivery in the world.
