Holidaymakers planning to visit the Spanish Costa del Sol coast in 2011 are advised to book early in order to secure the best holiday rentals.

The Costa del Sol coastline has long been a favourite destination for Brits looking to enjoy the sun, five star beaches and a taste of traditional Spanish lifestyle. The relationship between British holidaymakers and the Costa del Sol has remained strong despite many European holiday resorts experiencing a decline in Brits due to the high value of the Euro and the recent economic crisis.

Many of those that regularly holiday in the Costa del Sol region opt to rent a holiday home in one of the many resorts along the coast such as Mijas Costa, Benalmadena, Marbella and Fuengirola. The privacy of a private villa or apartment adds great value to the holiday experience particularly for families and larger groups.

However anyone planning to book a holiday rental in 2011 will need to act quickly in order to secure the most sought after homes. Bookings are already being taken for many rentals with the summer months of June, July and August unsurprisingly attracting the majority of interest.

Online Costa del Sol rental website Costadelvillas have already seen a rise in enquiries for the peak months and Steve Jones, head of development, believes this will continue "January is always a busy month for holidaymakers enquiring about availability throughout the year, however this time the serge seemed to arrive even earlier with a rise in the second half of November and in December."

Costadelvillas specialise in advertising holiday villas, apartments and townhouses directly from the owner. All bookings are made with the owner taking out the need for a middleman and thus reducing costs for advising which are untimely passed on to the renter.
