E-RACE Epilepsy 5K Run & Walk Fundraiser! June 4th 2011 @ the Philadelphia Zoo
The Kyle and Rose Epilepsy (KARE) Foundation's first annual E-Race Epilepsy 5K Run & Walk will be held at the Philadelphia Zoo. The fundraiser will raise epilepsy awareness, give support for families, and fund research to help find a cure.
Online, December 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The KARE Foundation, formed in 2010, is seeking help from the community to support their non-profit fundraiser. Our Mission is Awareness, Support and a Cure for those who have epilepsy and those who love and support them!
Researchers have made progress in understanding Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's, but less so in the case of another common neurological disease, epilepsy. Epilepsy causes more than 50,000 deaths a year - more than breast cancer. This is a source of great anguish to the 3 million patients and their families coping with seizure disorders, which can range from temporary attacks to lifelong - and often life-ending - bouts with the disease.
Join us on June 4th at the Philadelphia Zoo for an afternoon of fundraising. The E-Race Epilepsy 5K Run & Walk will feature running, walking, food, music, and Prizes for Top Fundraisers! Special guests include American Chopper & More!
