DYMAX Introduces the Rail Rider MP Hi-Rail Product Line
WAMEGO, KANSAS, February 24, 2016 (Newswire.com) - DYMAX Inc. introduced the Rail Rider MP product line today, a system designed to enable multiple excavator machine brands to operate from on-track without requiring major modifications to the machine.
With an excavator on the Rail Rider cart, the entire machine can be driven on track by the excavator’s hydraulic system.
"This line of hydraulic carts is unlike any other product on the market," said Kevin Klenklen, Rail Division Sales Manager at DYMAX. "We are excited to introduce this new solution to the past problem of needing major machine modifications, while at the same time enabling multiple brand options for our customers."

“The Rail Rider MP features a hydraulic connection kit that allows the excavator’s hydraulic system to be connected to the cart without modifying the machine. This saves our customers money,” said Scott Balderson, president and chief executive officer at DYMAX. “We wanted to create a solution for the age-old problem of making costly alterations to the original equipment. It created a rail-only piece of equipment and lost much of its original value after it was modified. The Rail Rider MP models preserve the machine in its original configuration and allows it to work on-track or off-rail as the operator requires.”
The Rail Rider MP product line allows excavators to reach remote locations that can only be accessed via rail. This increases the ability of contractors and railways to handle jobs like disaster response, undercutting, vegetation control and tunnel and bridge maintenance.
“This line of hydraulic carts is unlike any other product on the market,” said Kevin Klenklen, Rail Division Sales Manager at DYMAX. “We are excited to introduce this new solution to the past problem of needing major machine modifications, while at the same time enabling multiple brand options for our customers.”
The Rail Rider MP is available for all excavators configured with open center valve arrangements, such as Caterpillar, Case, Hitachi and John Deere. Smaller units are also available for Takeuchi machines.
