Don't Let Budget Cuts Discourage The Use Of Reversing Cameras And Other Vehicle Safety Equipment, Says BSIA

A BSIA conference recently emphasised the importance of vehicle safety and reversing cameras - even in tough economic times.

The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) last month advised businesses to improve their vehicle security strategy - even in the face of budget cuts.

The advice was given at a Manchester security business and seminar, which Vision Techniques attended, entitled Security - Whatever the Cuts.

The organisation focused on keeping attendees up-to-date on the latest security developments and provided advice on how to protect businesses and staff against crime in times of financial instability.

The presentations covered areas such as the challenges faced by the Police in the next few years following the considerable cuts faced by the force and ways to counter the threat of security breaches.

Andy Kelly, of Vision Techniques, said: "It is important to remind ourselves that reversing cameras and other vehicle safety and security equipment is still vital even during these tough economic times.

"Endless hazardous situations can be avoided by installing Vision Techniques products. It provides flexible solutions to many vehicle safety and security fleet management issues.

"We can also make it easier for companies to afford by leasing out our vehicle safety and security equipment. This way we can help more companies and organisations protect operatives, assets and the public.

"Using a combination of reversing cameras, vehicle management systems and mobile CCTV, vehicle operators can be completely aware of potential problems."

"The event was a fantastic occasion to keep up-to-date with what is going on in the industry."

Delegates from the police, local authorities, public sector and a range of businesses had a free exhibition and seminar.

Keynote speakers included Greater Manchester Police, Cityco, North West Counter Terrorist Unit, and who also kindly sponsored the event.

The event was sponsored by Securitas Security Services and organised by the BSIA in partnership with Greater Manchester Police, the Manchester City Centre Crime Prevention Panel, Greater Manchester Chamber and Manchester City Council.

By working with companies to understand their vehicle safety and security concerns, Vision Techniques pioneers the latest reversing cameras and other vehicle safety equipment.

Vision Techniques is a leading supplier of the latest security and safety equipment for all types of vehicles - including van safety, lorry safety, truck safety, forklift safety and HGV safety - throughout the country.
