Directrooms - February 2011 Exclusive Jewellery Designs Get Showcased in Chennai

DirectRooms.com can report that designers of some of the most expensive jewellery in India will be displaying their new creations in Chennai as part of a unique business to business show occurring during February.

The Gem and Jewellery India International Exhibition 2011 (GJIIE) is Southern India's largest jewellery trade event and the foremost companies from the region and abroad are setting up at the show. Visitors will be able to view an extensive collection of rare and precious gems including diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires laid in intricate settings of platinum, gold and silver.

The event is one of the key dates for buyers within the jewellery business and sees attendance from nearly 10,000 visitors made up of retailers, department stores, wholesalers and international buyers looking for the latest creations from the Indian market.

As well as domestic designs the show will also feature pieces from overseas markets such as Thailand, the UK, Japan, the USA, the UAE and China enabling attendees to get a taste of the fashions being worn internationally.

The event will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre from 26th to 28th February and visitors using Chennai hotels can see stands of thousands of different pieces including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, watches and rings.
