DirectRooms.com - 10 Under The Ben To Be Held In Inverness On 21 May 2011

DirectRooms.com announces that a significant challenge awaits cyclists that think they can compete in ten hours of extreme mountain biking as 10 Under The Ben comes to Fort William.

The race is so called as it consists of a ten mile course, that lasts for ten hours and is held under the gaze of Ben Nevis, or the Ben as it's known locally, the tallest mountain in the whole of Britain.

Starting on 21st May 2011, the mountainous terrain under Ben Nevis is the circuit for riders as they have to complete as many laps as possible within the ten hour time limit. The race is for individuals or teams up to four people and riders don't necessarily have to compete for the full length of time. For those resting over the race plenty of entertainment will be laid on with bands and music for the riders and spectators.

Organisers No Fuss will provide computerised updates of the riders throughout the event to ensure everyone knows who has taken the lead and there'll be various prizes given out on the day.

Camping facilities are available for bikers and attendees although there is no showers so people may prefer to opt for a hotel in Inverness which is only a short drive away.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "Riders turn out in the hundreds to compete in this famous race and hotel places are likely to be limited as a result."
